Rice Field Art (3)
The residents of Inakadate have been drawing pictures with rice since 1993. Each year farmers in the town of Inakadate in Aomori prefecture create works of crop art by growing a little purple and yellow-leafed kodaimai rice along with their local green-leafed tsugaru-roman variety. -
Tall Timber Resort - Durango, Colorado (2)
This is Tall Timber Resort, near Durango, Colorado, our family's favorite getaway spot. It's a small, secluded, family-owned five-star resort, reachable only by helicopter or historic train. The food is sumptuous, the accommodations are private and well-appointed, there's a great library, and you're surrounded by unspoiled mountains, forests and rivers. They have a new zip-line attraction as well as golf, pool and hot tubs, massage and lots of hiking. No place like it, well worth a trip. http://www.talltimberresort.com/ [Photos by Lance Thompson] -
